Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the PostSpeak iOS app and website (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

1. Who operates PostSpeak

PostSpeak is an independent speaking-practice product. “PostSpeak,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Service. For questions, contact hello@postspeak.app.

2. The Service and AI reviews

PostSpeak transcribes speech on your device and can provide language suggestions when you request a review. For PostSpeak Cloud reviews, the transcript is sent to our hosted service and then to its configured AI provider. If you choose a supported provider that you configure, the transcript is sent to that provider under your configuration. Audio is not sent for these text reviews.

Transcriptions and AI suggestions can be incomplete or incorrect and may not reflect your intent, dialect, audience, or situation. The Service is a practice aid, not professional advice, certification, or a guarantee of language ability or outcomes. Check suggestions before relying on them.

3. Your content and permissions

You retain your rights to recordings, transcripts, and other content you create (“User Content”). You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to record and submit it. Do not record another person or submit their personal information unless you have a lawful basis and any required consent.

When you request a review, you instruct PostSpeak to transmit the selected transcript and relevant request settings to the provider you selected, or to PostSpeak Cloud and its configured provider, to generate and return suggestions. The provider’s own terms and privacy practices also apply. This permission covers processing needed to provide and secure the requested feature.

4. Local data and deletion

The app stores recordings and practice history locally by default. You can use available app controls to delete local takes. Deletion from your device does not remove content already sent to PostSpeak Cloud or a third-party provider, or content retained in service logs, backups, or security records under their respective policies.

5. Lifetime App Access and PostSpeak Cloud

The one-time in-app purchase, currently offered for $9.99 USD where that storefront price applies, is named PostSpeak Lifetime App Access. The actual localized price is shown by Apple at purchase. It unlocks eligible app features on an ongoing basis and is not a subscription. Apple processes and manages the transaction. You can use the app’s Restore Purchases control to restore an eligible purchase associated with your Apple account.

Lifetime App Access means ongoing access to eligible app features; it does not mean lifetime PostSpeak Cloud service, unlimited cloud AI, or a promise that every hosted feature will remain available forever.

The current launch offer separately includes 12 months of PostSpeak Cloud access with up to 300 cloud reviews per month. This complimentary benefit is separate from the lifetime app entitlement, applies only to PostSpeak Cloud reviews, and is time-limited. The 12-month period begins on the purchase date; its status is shown in the app where available. Cloud service is subject to availability and operational limits. Reviews through your own supported AI provider do not consume PostSpeak Cloud credits and are subject to that provider’s terms, availability, and any charges imposed by that provider.

Offer terms may change for future purchases. A change to a future offer does not shorten a benefit period already granted to you. Any additional purchase terms shown by Apple or in the app at the time of purchase apply to that transaction. Refunds are handled under Apple’s policies and applicable law.

6. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the Service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, violate another person’s rights or the law, or submit content intended to exploit or harm others. We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the Service, or our providers.

7. Availability and changes

We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service. We will make reasonable efforts to give notice of material changes where practical and required by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or permanent availability of any hosted feature. This does not limit rights that applicable law does not allow us to limit.

8. Intellectual property

PostSpeak and its branding, software, design, and original materials are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership to you.

9. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that cannot legally be excluded. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to limit.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Service. Any limitation of liability applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law and does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where the PostSpeak operator is established, without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable law will resolve disputes.

11. Changes and contact
