PostSpeak
Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PostSpeak handles information when you use the PostSpeak iOS app or this website. The app processes speech on your device and keeps practice history there by default. Information leaves your device only when you choose a feature that sends it, such as requesting a PostSpeak Cloud review or using a provider you configure.
1. Information the app handles
- Audio: captured when you choose to record. Speech recognition runs on your device, and audio is not sent to PostSpeak Cloud for a language review.
- Transcripts and practice history: transcripts, review results, dates, and preferences are stored locally in the app for your practice history.
- Purchase information: Apple processes App Store purchases. The app receives transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock the purchase and restore it. PostSpeak does not receive your payment card details.
- Support messages: if you email us, we receive the email address and information you include.
2. AI reviews and providers
PostSpeak Cloud: when you explicitly request a review using PostSpeak Cloud, the transcript and the language or review settings needed for that request are sent over HTTPS to our Cloudflare-hosted review service. The service sends the request to its configured AI provider. The current service uses Xiaomi MiMo and may use Cloudflare Workers AI as a fallback. The provider returns generated suggestions to the app. Audio is not included.
Your own supported provider (BYOK): if you configure and select a supported third-party AI provider, the transcript and request settings are sent to that provider using your configuration. The request does not use PostSpeak Cloud review credits. Your use is also subject to that provider’s terms and privacy policy. Provider names, support, and routing may change as the app evolves; the app identifies the selected provider before a request is sent.
AI providers process submitted text to provide a response and may process technical data such as request time, IP address, and service diagnostics. Their collection, retention, and use of submitted content are governed by their own terms, privacy notices, and service settings. We cannot promise deletion from a provider’s backups or logs. Do not submit sensitive information you do not want processed by the selected provider.
3. Cloud credits and purchase entitlement
The one-time App Store purchase called PostSpeak Lifetime App Access unlocks eligible app features on an ongoing basis, subject to these Terms and applicable law. It does not mean lifetime access to PostSpeak Cloud or unlimited cloud AI.
The current launch offer includes a separate complimentary 12-month PostSpeak Cloud benefit, with up to 300 cloud reviews per month during that benefit period. The 12-month period begins on the purchase date, is limited to PostSpeak Cloud use, and is subject to availability and the in-app display. It does not convert into a permanent cloud entitlement. Reviews made through your own supported provider do not consume PostSpeak Cloud credits.
4. Service logs and retention
Practice content is stored locally until you delete it or remove the app, subject to your device backups and settings. Deleting local content does not delete a transcript already sent to an AI provider.
Our review service processes request data to deliver the response, protect and operate the service, and diagnose failures. Operational logs may include request metadata, provider/status information, and diagnostic details. Some error paths may include a limited excerpt of model output or error details in service logs. Logs are retained according to the hosting and service configuration and may be retained longer where needed for security or legal compliance. Contact us with a request about data held by PostSpeak; provider-held copies remain subject to the provider’s policies.
5. Website and service providers
Our website may receive standard server and security information such as IP address, browser, and request details from the hosting provider. We do not use this information to sell personal information. We use service providers to host the site and deliver app features. We do not sell personal information.
6. Your choices and rights
You choose whether to record, request a PostSpeak Cloud review, or use a configured provider. You can review and edit a transcript before requesting a review. You can delete local takes using app controls. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing. Contact us to make a privacy request. For information held by Apple or a third-party AI provider, you may need to contact that provider directly.
7. Children
PostSpeak is not designed for children under 13, or the higher minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the website. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us.
8. Security and international processing
We use HTTPS for app review requests and reasonable safeguards for the service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. PostSpeak and its providers may process information in countries other than where you live, under applicable safeguards where required.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when the app, providers, or applicable requirements change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when required.
